My adventure with clay began in 1979 while living in Australia.
I was looking for an artistic medium and a friend introduced me to clay. I attended classes at a nearby studio and from that initial experience until present day I enjoy working with clay.
Since arriving in Almonte in 1981 I was able to extend my desire to work in clay and took courses at the studios of Cathy Blake and Darlene Keffer.
I am a founding member of the Almonte Potters Guild (2002).
Being a Studio Potter at the Almonte Pottery Studio allows me to continue to learn about the diversity of clay on a regular basis.
My present work is in hand building. I thoroughly enjoy making large bowls and creating non functional vessels that show a Japanese influence.
Strong shapes, and glazes to compliment each piece is a strength in my work.
